Jorge and Rick met in Eindhoven in 2012, and married in 2015. What began as a shared life quickly became a shared practice: entrepreneurship has always been inseparable from who they are — a mode of thinking, investing, and building that they have sustained and supported in each other from the start. Based in Eindhoven, operating between the Netherlands and Portugal, they are known in the region as a duo whose combined range spans cultural governance, community programming, digital strategy, and heritage hospitality.
Designer by training, born in Portugal. After working across Europe, Jorge settled in the Netherlands in 2007 — and never left. He works at the intersection of design, communities, governance and culture: building organisations from the inside out through systems thinking, digital architecture, and cultural strategy. He holds director and supervisory board roles across the cultural sector in the Brainport region.
Rick started in 2015 as a school concierge in one of Eindhoven's most underserved neighbourhoods. He noticed children were going home hungry. He started a cooking lesson for ten children. A decade later, Meneer Rick reaches over 1,700 children across 15 schools through 90 weekly activities — from cooking and music to carnival parades and the Sinterklaasintocht. Rick's gift is translating proximity to children into programmes with genuine, lasting impact. Since 2022 listed among Eindhoven's 50 most influential people (Frits Magazine).
